So far, this is one of the weirdest sounds of 2013. But at the same time equally interesting. Is it pop? Rock? Rap? Electro? There is a bit of everything in Vessel, debut album from sensational duo Twenty One Pilots.

I’m ashamed to be singing – this is how If I Had the Time starts and at the same time opens a brand new EP released by Mack Slevin (known as Flashing Red Lights) just yesterday. But when the track develops, it becomes obvious that there is nothing to be ashamed of. The song is a deadly catchy melancholic tune with Slevin’s voice being the highlight.

Black Traffic is another Skunk Anansie’s album released after their reunion few years ago. After Wonderlustre, this one contains more heavy rock tracks but proves the same old thing – that Skin is one of the greatest female vocalists of our times.
And there are some other interesting facts about Black Traffic – it is their first album released through own label and it contains probably first ever guest appearance in any of their songs: eclectic French band Shaka Ponk in Spit You Out.
We continue with the best rock releases in 2012. After heavy sounds of The Hives and The Offspring, we come back to pop rock. This time presented by Sinéad O’Connor and her ninth full-length album – How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?
After years of controversies, health problems and even a suicidal attempt, Sinéad is still out there. And How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? proves to be one of her best albums (well, definitely the best one released in this century).
The song I have chosen to present is actually an amazing cover of John Grant’s Queen of Denmark.
New Skunk Anansie‘s album is coming! Black Traffic will be their fifth studio album and its release is planned for Semptember.
Yesterday the first song has seen the light of the day – it is called I Believed In You and proves that Skin with guys still know how to rock!
