Well, this is only the third post we publish this September but stating that this month does not bring interesting releases would not be appropriate. Actually, it brings too many of them as for such a short period of time and that is why we decided not to write about the albums that we mentioned that they are coming (Ladi6’s Automatic or WIllis Earl Beal’s Nobody Knows) or which are all over the Internet (Jessy Lanza’s Pull My Hair Back) or whose authors have been already hyped for a long time (London Grammar’s If You Wait, CHVRCHES’ The Bones of What You Believe, Factory Floor’s self-titled LP or EPs from two hot debutants: FKA twigs and Banks). Instead of all that we decided to write about something that is totally fresh and new. And this is how we have found Moodive, just 17-year-old producer from Milan, Italy.
He released an EP called Gift just yesterday and Innersounds is one of the tracks that have been included in it. The song starts surprisingly similarly to the way in which… Eminem and Lil Wayne’s Drop The World starts but do not let that fool you. The sound that Moodive created with this track is really eclectic and ambitious and at some point it made me think whether he is not Olof Dreijer’s lost son.
