Lexy (Alexander Gerlach) and K-Paul (Kai Paul) are two German DJs who met each other in… Yes, you guessed it correctly, it happened in Berlin. As we know based on many examples, this city has had great influence on numerous electronic music artists, especially on those specializing in techno. The story is similar with these two guys. They bumped into each other in Low Spirit Recordings (where the idea of MayDay was born) at the end of the ’90s and have been recording together ever since.
Attacke is the new album that the duo is adding to its rich discography. It brings not only some finest instrumental techno tracks like Superdisco or Atun Con Pan but also compositions refering to other genres – for example Deichkind-like hip-hop song U.S.A. (featuring German rapper Marteria) and a bit melancholic housey tune Raise. Good stuff.
